TicoThrive

I started the TicoThrive learning program with the first class in March 2021. I typically work through both levels of the practice exercises daily. The exercises include Present and Past Tense exercises with various reference materials to support the learning. The teachers in the course are always available to answer questions and have been very easy to work with. They also provide feedback on the weekly long answer exercises which help you to really understand the material. This program has the best content of any Spanish course that I have ever taken. The content varies daily, which keeps it both interesting and challenging. The specific examples of Costa Rican Spanish have been very helpful in my daily life in Costa Rica. The Spanish spoken in Costa Rica is much different than in other countries that I have traveled to. I would highly recommend this course to anyone that wants to learn Spanish and is thinking of living in or traveling to Costa Rica. I see and hear things daily here that have been covered in this course. You will not be disappointed with TicoThrive if you are serious about learning Spanish.

I really love how the lessons are structured and they have a good variety of tools. Each day of the week has a daily challenge. The tools include vocabulary, a short story, a couple of lessons that may include matching phrases, rearranging sentences, fill-in the missing words, and long sentences. The best is that on most types of lessons you know right away if you have something incorrect. The only exception is the long answer and you get feedback the next day. If you miss any lessons you still have access to them and can catch up at your own pace. This structure has been great for me since I am still working full time. I absolutely recommend Tico Thrive for anyone trying to learn Costa Rican Spanish.

I am a Spanish language beginner, having tried Duolingo (which has helped) for a few months. I started Tico Thrive from its inception a few months back now. I cannot tell you how impressed I am with the programme. The materials are absolutely first class and there is so much information provided. Ric is an excellent and patient teacher. At last I am putting sentences together and understanding far more. The cost of these classes are very reasonable, especially when you get so many learning materials too. I cannot recommend Tico Thrive more highly. Thank you so much!
